Frequently Asked Questions: For NukuDo Applicants

1. What are the basic requirements to be eligible for the NukuDo Training Program?

To be eligible for the NukuDo training program, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. U.S. Citizenship

  2. High School Diploma or Equivalent

  3. Ability to pass a Civil, Criminal, and Financial Background Check

  4. Ability to pass a 17-Panel Drug Test

2. Your application page is closed. Is there another way for me to submit my application?

We appreciate your interest and are honored by the overwhelming response from the San Antonio and Texas community as a whole. Unfortunately, applications are currently closed and will not be accepted until we reopen the page in June 2025. Keep an eye on our website and follow us on LinkedIn for updates in the meantime!

3. How long does the application and vetting process take?

The application process takes anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks to complete. We are actively working on creating a more efficient and equally effective process.

4. Why does the application process take so long?

Our application process is rigorous and lengthy because we must be highly selective with those who enter the program. NukuDo makes a significant investment in each individual, ensuring that only the most driven and capable candidates are chosen. Every assessment is carefully reviewed, and each candidate is thoroughly evaluated before progressing to the next stage. Given the volume of applications we receive, this process takes time, but it is essential to maintaining the high standards of our program.

5. What are all of the stages of the application and vetting process?

The application process consists of:

  1. Initial Intake Form (which is currently closed)

  2. Online Challenge

  3. Logical Aptitude Test

  4. Analytical Aptitude Test

  5. Personality Assessment

  6. In-Person Interviews

  7. Civil, Criminal, and Financial Background Checks and 17-Panel Drug Test

6. Is NukuDo a school or place of employment?

NukuDo is not a school—it is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) that invests in individuals with the right attitude and aptitude for a career in cybersecurity. If accepted into the NukuDo Training Program, you are not a student; you are a full-time W-2 employee whose job is to train and learn. Unlike other bootcamps, colleges, and training programs, we do not accept applications on a rolling basis and maintain a highly selective admissions process.

7. The acceptance rate is less than 1%, why?

Our recruitment and vetting process is rigorous and highly selective because we invest tens of thousands of dollars into each trainee, ensuring they become top-tier cybersecurity professionals. We evaluate not only technical capabilities, logical reasoning, and cognitive ability but also motivation and personality traits. Our goal is to find the best of the best.

8. What is the timeline of the NukuDo Training Program?

There are 4 stages within the NukuDo Training Program:

  1. Training Period (20 weeks)

  2. Certifications & Skill Development

  3. Special Projects and Skill Application

  4. Placement

9. When I am ready for placement, will I be forced to relocate?

No, you will never be forced to relocate. However, many trainees who were initially hesitant about relocation became interested in opportunities outside of San Antonio during the bench period. The decision to relocate is entirely up to you.

10. When it comes to being placed with an employer, will I have the option to choose which one?

Our priority is to place you in a role that aligns with your goals and interests. However, the primary objective of the program is to launch your cybersecurity career in a role you may not have been able to secure on your own. We ensure that all placements are a strong cultural and personality fit, as this is a commitment we make to both you and our hiring partners.
